I was wondering if the American version of Mercy Ministries uses the same techniques that I read about in the Sidney Morning Herald that is used in Australia? I wonder why Mark and Darlene Zschech left the organization and Gloria Jean’s Coffees have come in to run it?
I believe so Crystal. Gloria Jeans don’t run it per se but the former dircetor of gloria jeans was also a director of Mercy Ministries at the same time so there appears to be a conflict of interest.
GJ’s has continued to stick by Mercy and I think this is down to the strong Pentecostal ties that exist between the two organisations.
I have been in contact with an American lady who survived one of the programs in the states if you send me some questions I mat be able to pass it on to her
Thanks. I wonder if they exorcize the demons from their girls like their Aussie counterparts do? I wonder if the American girls have to go through the invasion of privacy when staff members go to their doctor appointments with them? I wonder how can young women with so called problems of anerexia, cutting, and other problems get over their issues in 6 months of “treatment” from people who have no formal psychological training? Please address these questions to her. Thanks again.
